Should I
give up
at this point?

I chose B-Tech thinking they'd teach me computer.
Nobody told me that I'd have to teach myself.

No one told us that
CS had a backbone.
That there are people who built the system we use.
That we are supposed to
look under the hood.

The hardest part isn't coding,
it's unlearning how we were taught.
Learning how to learn -
without guidance.

We were
not meant to
stay still.
We were
raised
on stories.

On choosing companion
and saying
"we'll figure it out".
On walking into tall grass
without knowing
what waited there.
We grew up
believing
that friendship
was power

Taught us that
competition
wasn't so cruel

We watched a boy from small town chase something bigger than himself.
And we watched him fail. Again and again.

And he still stood up
That was the lesson
Not victory but resilience.

And then one day we packed our bags too
int the hope to find the road that
leads us to our own
Destiny
Some of us took the path not taken
while others walked along others
marching in hope to find
Something they call their own.
